Origami: How to do Math Without Scissors or Glue

Dr. Thomas Hull
Western New England College

This talk will involve an overview of what origami is as an art form, an interactive exploration of some "origami theorems" (like Maekawa's Theorem), a presentation on how such math can be used to design origami models, and how the mathematics of folding has been applied to engineering and design.

The presentation of awards will follow the talk at approximately 5:15.
