Abstract: Agile methodologies have gained recognition as efficient development approaches through their quick delivery of software, even under the time constraints. However, these methodologies have been criticized due to the unavailability of security elements in their various phases and practices, resulting in the development of unsecure software. After analyzing the literature and conducting case studies Dr. Ghani has discovered several security challenges in four agile methodologies: Scrum, Feature-Driven Development (FDD), eXtreme Programming (XP) and Dynamic Systems Development Method (DSDM). Identifying these challenges helped him to propose the idea of a set of security-focused elements to enhance these agile methodologies. In this presentation, analysis of the literature (2001-2017), highlights of the case studies and findings of the enhanced agile methodologies will be shared with the panel.
