In real-time systems, it is critical to assure that programs are capable of executing within desired real-time constraints- namely a periodic deadline. I will present an analysis of the schedulability of arbitrary parallel programs (represented as directed acyclic graphs) under real-time constraints with the federated scheduling algorithm. This algorithm is the first practical scheduling algorithm (implemented in a system and executing code) for real-time programs with arbitrary parallel structure.
