I am a Professor in the Department of
Computer Science at Saint Louis
University; my research is supported by various National Science Foundation
grants. I currently serve on the Computational Geometry Steering
Committee, as an editor for the
Journal of Computational Geometry, and on the newly formed
Ad hoc committee to combat harassment and discrimination
in the Theory of Computing community.
I also serve on the steering committees for the Women
in Computational Topology and Women in Shape
Analysis networks, and am active in several committees for the AWM project to
grow these research networks.
I teach computer science with the occasional math class, and research problems
in computational topology and geometry, as well as combinatorics and
combinatorial algorithms. I am also active in research projects to support and
improve recruitment and retention in comptuer science, particularly of
minorities and women. Please check my list of
publications for more details.
I'm married to Jeff Chambers; we have three beautiful and amazing children,
Grace, Edwin, and Jesse,
and a cat named Hercules Mulligan.
In my spare time,
I like to read, watch various TV shows (mostly sci-fi and fantasy), and drink tea.
